CAMPING IN THE OUTBACK WITH KATH SWINBOURNE

Camping in the Outback, with Kath Swinbourne

Kath Swinbourne is an Australian Outback adventurer. She has crossed the Simpson Desert twice on her own, in her Suzuki Vitara, and is one of the few women to have driven the Old Tele Track from beginning to end. She typically spends 2-3 months camping solo in the outback, with her 4WD, satellite phone and some good quality coffee.

In this episode we talk about the allure of the outback, safety tips, and why you should not wait around for anyone, or anything else to start your own adventures. Life is too short!

I interviewed Kath back in January 2018 and just knew she would make for a fascinating podcast guest. She is honestly a real role model for me and I love her approach to life.

Kath share her stories about sharing a camp site with a wild Dingo, waking up beside kangaroos, the beauty and wilderness of the Outback and why everyone should try it at least once.

I’d like to say a huge thank you to Kath, and I really hope she inspires you to get out of your comfort zone, and start exploring.
