A Girls’ Guide to Travelling Alone
HELINOX CHAIR ZERO REVIEW
Just to be totally upfront, I was given this chair to review from
WildBounds
however, all opinions below are my own and I would never promote any product I didn’t love.
Helinox Chair Zero Review
I was so happy to hear from
WildBounds
a friendly bunch of adventurers from all walks of life, who have set up an online outdoor store, full of independent brands, with a focus on craftsmanship and sustainability.
When they offered me, a soft city girl, the chance to test out one of their hero products, the
Helinox Chair Zero
I jumped at the chance. A camping chair that you can really put up in less than two minutes? Surely that’s just for outdoorsy pros right? Read on to find out 😉

Helinox Chair Zero review
The chair comes in a neat bag with a carry strap and the whole thing weighs less than a bag of sugar. It took me about 50 seconds to unpack everything (the metal frame is held together with an elastic and the chair seat simply unfolds).
Now for the real test.. is it REALLY so easy to assemble? Well, yes! I am by no means a practical type (though I do wish I was) and I don’t zip off to a camp site every weekend with my stove and waterproofs (perhaps I need to get way more adventurous!). But this chair was easy peasy. I deliberately did not look at any instructions or assembly videos and still managed to have it up on the ground in about 1 minute and 30 seconds.. so all in (including unpacking) less than 3 minutes.
Is the Helinox Zero a good camp chair?
In short, yes! It’s super light weight, a breeze to set up and really comfortable. It’s ergonomic design gives you a well supported seat wherever you happen to pitch up.. on the beach, in a campsite, at a festival, you name it. It’s also backed by a 5 year guarantee from
WildBounds
too. I tested it on uneven ground, sand and decking and the chair adapts no problem.
Helinox Chair Zero tech spec
The
Helinox Chair Zero
is lightweight; an easy to carry 490g, about the same as a small bottle of water. It can take weights of up to 120kg (or 18st 8lb) and it’s the lightest chair that Helinox make.
When packed away, it measures 7.6 x 7.6 x 35.6 cm and it also comes with a 5 year warranty.
When assembled, it has a height of 64cm, a seat base of 23cm and a width of 50cm.
My overall rating is an easy and well deserved 5 stars. I’ll definitely be taking it with me on my next adventure (a road trip to Scotland!) and would recommend it without any hesitation.
Thank you WildBounds
for giving me the opportunity to test it out!
